Los Wayú o Guajiros son aborígenes de la península de la Guajira sobre el mar Caribe que habitan en territorios de Colombia Y Venezuela. Las Mochilas Wayu se conocen en la lengua tradicional como "Kattout" y son una de las piezas artesanales mas representativas. Cada día los diseñadores y firmas de moda están incluyendo estas piezas dentro de sus colecciones, las celebrities y blogger estan apostando por estos bolsos y manillas en sus looks.
Los indígenas Wayú son capaces de hacer un hermoso matiz con sus bolsos, varias lanas de oveja de distintos tonos de color, generando patrones de colores de una manera muy sutil y perfectamente combinado. Son hechas totalmente a mano y pueden tardar en la elaboración entre 2 semanas a tres meses dependiendo del bolso.
